Call of Duty 3 continues the series as a console-exclusive title focused on the dramatic events of the Battle of Normandy during World War II. Players step into the boots of soldiers from four different armies — American, British, Canadian, and Polish — experiencing the war from multiple perspectives.
The game aims for a cinematic and intense feel, with fast-paced action and scripted sequences. New features include interactive melee combat, more open level design in some missions, and improved multiplayer. Technically, it performs well on the consoles of its time, although not all versions are equally polished.
